Accommodation: Trekker huts, By the Way Hostel (Website) Overspill camping
Cost: Min £12 pppn, more if there are less than 4 attending – see below
Facilities: Soft mattresses/bunk beds, but bring your own sleeping bag, stove etc. The huts are basically camping under a roof!
An excellent location with 4 Munros just behind the hostel, including the superb Ben Lui! Also close to the hills around Crianlarich and even Glencoe is within striking distance. The owners of the hostel reckon there are 50 Munros within a 20 mile radius of By the Way. (Click here for more info on the hills.)
For climbers, the Cobbler is within striking distance.
NB: This is a 3-day weekend from Saturday-Monday. We have booked 1 hut with 4 bunks for three days. The members’ fee will be total cost (£144) divided by the number of people.
Please advise Dan Moysey by email (or telephone the number on the Syllabus Card) ASAP if you are interested in attending this meet. If there are more than 4 bookings, the campsite is an option. However, as this is a Bank Holiday weekend, the campsite is likely to be busy, so early booking is advisable.
