Devil’s Point from the Lairig Ghru

NB: The bus will be picking up in Elgin and Forres only.  Members from Nairn and Inverness can either make their way to Forres for the 07.20 pick up, or meet the bus in Grantown.

The classic traverse is back!

There is something for everyone here: Munros, climbing opportunities or a low level walk through the Lairig Ghru or the Lairig an Laoigh.

There are more Munros than you can shake a walking pole at – Derry Cairngorm, Ben Macdui, Carn a’Mhaim, Cairngorm, Beinn Mheadhoin, Devil’s Point, Angel’s Peak, Cairn Toul, Braeriach, etc.

If traversing the Lairig an Laoigh it is easy to nip up Creag Mhor (Corbett) en-route.

On a fine day, this is a meet where climbers can get in a mountain route on the way. There are some nice options at the lower grades on Coire Sputan Dearg, including Crystal Ridge (Diff).

If you haven’t been out on a meet for a while, this is an ideal opportunity to catch-up with old friends and even make some new ones. Would be great to fill the bus.
