Looking towards Sgor Gaoith from near Monadh Mor

Traverses are what Bus Meets are made for and this is one possibly not previously undertaken by the Club? Instead of the usual Cairngorm Traverses from Linn of Dee through to the Cairngorm Car Park or from Glen Feshie to Coylumbridge, this traverse will go from Glen Feshie through to Linn of Dee.

This meet will primarily provide the opportunity to traverse the Cairngorms via Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain and also, if desired, take in the remote Munro top of Carn Clioch-mhuilinn. Going by Naismith’s rule, this walk should take c.8Hrs.

As an alternative, it may also be possible to drop members off near Coylumbridge to allow for a traverse through to Linn of Dee via the Lairig Ghru. Going by Naismith’s rule, this walk should take c.7Hrs 45Mins.

Anyone wishing a shorter walk could stay on the bus round to Linn of Dee e.g. for an ascent of Sgor Mor or even Morrone from Braemar.
