October weekend meet, Pitlochy Youth Hostel

3rd Oct Annika and Rob Acheson – An early start to get through Drumochter Pass before storm Amy arrived. At Blair Atholl decided to walk the Glen Tilt circuit. A dry misty autumnal start with noticeably high levels of water in streams and the river, wet underfoot we reached the viewpoint for lunch before the weather descended with worsening wind and rain, a flooded stream prevented us reaching the bridge so we retraced our steps and crossed to the other side lower down. Each year we have an Annual General Meeting as stated and in accordance with our club constitution. We encourage people to attend and engage in the meeting wherever possible to share their thoughts, suggestions and ideas about how the club is run, what the club stands for and its future plans. Additionally we take the time to celebrate both the clubs and its members achievements. ‘Before the Midges’ – 16/03/2025

a Car-share meet in glorious Glen Affric. Planned route is a fine circuit taking in the two north-easterly munros of the Glen, Tom a Choinnich and Toll Creagach (approx. 6 – 8 hours). Starting point will be the Chisholm bridge car park just east of the main visitor viewpoint. And, by going in March we should be able to enjoy the beauty of this area without the hassle of midges!! The November Day Meet is a car-share event on Sunday 17th November, organised by Brent Craig. Open to suggestions for a group route or activity but as usual you are free to do your own thing.
