Friday On Friday, Evelyn stopped on her way to Ullapool at Silverbridge for a nice short walk along the Black Water River to Little Garve Bridge. It was a mild and sunny autumn day and the colours on the trees were beautiful. Annika, Rob and Babs headed up Beinn Enaiglair. They started from Lochdrum having planned to walk to Meall Doire Faid via the stalkers path. Fifteen MMCer’s travelled to Glen Brittle for the annual meet in what is arguably one of the best situated and well appointed huts in the whole of our splendid country. After negotiating the ‘bank holiday’ traffic along the road (although it was not actually a bank holiday at all, more the torrent of tourists trying to get to and from the infamous Fairy Pools) and dodging the pot holes – one of which looked more like a sink hole, the mountaineers arrived over Friday evening at the hut.
