When: Sunday 18 October 2020 (Time TBC)Where: Loch Quoich (Gleouraich and Spidean MialachWhat: Car meet Loch Quoich (or “Cuaich” on the latest Ordnance Survey map) is no longer accessible to the MMC bus, even without the added constraints imposed by COVID-19. Members are free to do whatever they want, but some folk are planning to follow the Walkhighlands Route over Gleouraich and Spidean Mialach (12km, 1130m of ascent and an estimated 6-8 hours). This is a wild area with great views to the hills of Glen Shiel and Knoydart. It also claims to have one of the highest annual average rainfall totals in the UK (see previous point about views)!…

What: Car meetWhen: 09:00 in StrathcononWhere: Strathconon, meeting point is Grid Ref NH 294544 (See also Google Maps) This is a lovely glen that gives good access to various Corbets and Grahams. You are of course free to choose your own route, but some members are considering Sgurr a’ Mhuilinn and Meallan nan Uan as per WalkHighlands suggestion. Car Meet, Morvern (Caithness), 27 Sept 2020
Morven and Maiden Pap – 10.5 Miles (7 – 8 hours on Walkhighlands). Meet just past Braemore (Google Maps, OS Grid Ref ND 073304) at 09:30. Morvern is the fine conical hill clearly visible across the Moray Firth. A great destination.

Weekend Meet, Fisherfield, 9-11 Oct 2020
Wild camping meet in the Fisherfields to suit Corbett and Munro baggers alike (or those just wishing to soak up the ambience). It will begin with a scenic walk in from Poolewe to the Causeway by Carnmore (NG 975 760). Either camp here or stay at the bothy (at last inspection this was a grotty place) – if allowed by then! Then possibly continuing over towards Shenevall onto Dundonnell or back to Poolewe. The event will comply with Mountaineering Scotland’s COVID-19 guidance.
