As it is Easter Sunday, this location avoids some of the busier roads, has adequate parking, easily accessible, and provide options for all but the hardened Munro bagger. Park in the Cromdale car parking area on the west side of the A95 at Cromdale.

Some opportunities for a social coffee/drink afterwards in Grantown.
The Cromdale Hills are rather boggy in places with two massive hilltop cairns with extensive views and several historical sites of interest. If the weather is poor a walk along the Speyside Way is an option with lots of trails in the adjacent woods. The A95 itself is quite busy but some nearby minor roads offer access to some biking opportunities.
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying may require an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly.
Creagan a’ Chaise
At 722m is the higher of the two tops and can be accessed straight from the car park. (16Km 595mtrs)

Carn a’ Ghille Carr (10.5Km 490m +getting to Easter Rynaballoch)
At 710m can be reached by starting along the minor road to Easter Rynaballoch either by car on foot or bike 9km (return).

Or why not do both? (25Km 819mtrs)?
Follow the route for one, traverse the ridge and descend!

Speyside Way – Cromdale to Grantown – 13km there and back (or a little more if you pop into town for a sneaky coffee).
