Loch Quoich (or “Cuaich” on the latest Ordnance Survey map) is no longer accessible to the MMC bus, even without the added constraints imposed by COVID-19. Members are free to do whatever they want, but some folk are planning to follow the Walkhighlands Route over Gleouraich and Spidean Mialach (12km, 1130m of ascent and an estimated 6-8 hours). This is a wild area with great views to the hills of Glen Shiel and Knoydart. It also claims to have one of the highest annual average rainfall totals in the UK (see previous point about views)! The event will comply with Mountaineering Scotland’s COVID-19 guidance.  This may mean that numbers are restricted.
