AGM: Thursday 22nd March 2012

You are invited to The Moray Mountaineering Club’s Annual General Meeting to be held at 19:30 on 22 March 2012 at Glen Moray Distillery’s Visitor Centre.  Please support your club by attending. Ceilidh! Friday 24th February 2012

After such a great turn-out last year, the MMC club ceilidh is back again for 2012 with the band Buskoe Sike to keep us on our toes! Members and their guests welcome! Venue: Bishopmill Hall Time: 8.00pm – 12.30am Tickets: £7.00 Tickets can be bought from committee members at any club event or at the door on the night. Please bring your own drink and snacks. There will be a raffle in the interval too – please bring any potential raffle prizes with you on the night!

August 2011 Pub Meet: Muckle Cross, Elgin

Following suggestions at this years AGM and a recent commitee meeting, a pub meet has been organised to catch up with fellow members and discuss the forth coming bus meet! Date:  Thursday 18th August 2011 Time: 7.00pm onwards Venue: The Muckle Cross, Elgin Thursday night is “Curry Night”  and you can get a meal and drink for less than £10.  Good food, drink and chat……what more can you ask for?!  Hope to see you all there!

Ceilidh 2011!

Friday, 25th February 2011,  Elgin Town Hall Supper Room,  8.00pm – midnight. £10 including stovies! The traditional ceilidh event is back on the MMC social events calendar for members and their guests. This year’s band is The Broch Inspectors (good name!) and with stovies included in the almost give away ticket price of £10, this is an evening not to be missed. December 2010 Xmas Bus Meet: Achnashellach

Sunday, 19th December 2010 This year’s Xmas Bus Meet was a huge success because, unlike last year, we actually did some walking and returned to the Ledgowan Hotel for a meal!  It was a close call however when the bus got stuck in the icy car park at Rogie Falls, and then collided with a large stag on the way to the meal.  Perhaps if this early snow persists in the future we would be safer having a meal in Elgin – after walking a few laps of the Oakwood!!  We were last here for a meal in 2006 and then we had 53 members on the bus.  This time…
