The Christmas Bus Meet on 20 December 2015 will be a traverse over Ben Rinnes and then a meal at the Aberlour Hotel at 3pm.

As this will be a shorter day than normal, the Bus will pick up first at Inverness at 8am, and then travel through to Elgin via Nairn (8.20am)and Forres (8.40am)to arrive at Lossie Green car park, Elgin at 9am.  The Bus will then depart for Dufftown and drop off at the B9009 (it will be unable to get up the minor road to the normal car park), for a traverse over Ben Rinnes and then down to the Aberlour Hotel.

The shortest route for this traverse to Aberlour will be via Ben Rinnes summit, then Baby’s hill and down to the Ben Rinnes Distillery.  Continue by bearing right to Milltown of Edinvillie and then directly up the minor road to Aberlour.  This route will take about 4 hrs.  Other low level options are available also.

The meal in the Aberlour Hotel will be served at 3pm, and the Hotel require pre-orders at least a week in advance.  Orders will be taken with bookings for the Bus meet (menu attached).  The cost for the meal will be £19, which includes a gratuity for the Hotel staff.  The Bus fare will be the usual £15.  There are 48 seats available for the meal, and there is the option to attend for the meal only.

The Bus will depart around 5.30pm and return via Elgin, Forres, Nairn and Inverness.  Bookings for Bus/meal to John Henderson and costs for the bus and meal will be collected on the outward journey Please contact John Henderson via email by the evening of Saturday 12th December to book a seat on the bus/for the meal.
