Applecross village with Beinn a Clachain in the distance
A mix of poor weather forecast, holidays and a wedding took their toll on the turnout for this meet; in the event it was just Graeme Morrison, Margaret Hattersley and Illona Morrice who arrived at the Applecross campsite on Friday night. Margaret went home the next morning due to a wild night.
On Saturday, Graeme went up the Graham, Beinn a Chlachain, while Illona walked to a stalkers hut on the other side of peninsular past Meall Loch Alasdair. The weather was mixed showers and sunshine. Both left early on Sunday as it rained and rained all night and looked as it would do so for the forseeable future!
“A shame, but at least we set the record for the smallest weekend meet ever,” comments Illona.
