We haven’t been to the Blair Atholl area for years (2001 perhaps?), so this will be a new destination for many folk. The main attraction here is Beinn a’Ghlo, more a range of hills than a single peak. Beinn a’Ghlo has three Munro summits giving a full-on day. The summits may be rounded, but the steep sides and sculpted form makes this a memorable outing.

It is also possible to get off the bus early and tackle some of the Drumochter hills, either on foot or on skis if conditions permit.
