There are plenty of hills to choose from in this fine area both north and south of the Loch. To the north there is the challenge of how many mountains you can squeeze into your day, however unless you are very fit then the lure of An Socach might have to wait until another day while you concentrate instead on the superb lofty walk over Carn nan Gobhar, Sgurr na Lapaich and An Riabhachan.
To the south of the Loch is Toll Creagach and Tom a Choinich. If you want to get off the bus slightly early then Sgorr na Diollaid is a fine Corbett which, according to the book, is worth saving for a good day for its good views of the Strathfarrar, Mullardoch and Glen Affric hills.
Finally a plea to everyone to keep an eye on their watches and make a suitable plan for the day so that we can all enjoy a social in the pub afterwards!!
NB: Getting the boat to the end of the loch shortens the round of 4 Munros on the north side considerably, but AFIK Karl the boatman doesn’t run the boat until April, but worth checking!
Contact Dave Whitelock by email by the evening of Thursday 17th at the latest please to book a seat on the bus for this meet.
