Date: 2nd/3rd/4th May 2015 (3 nights)
Venue: Corrie & Sannox Village Hall
Location: Corrie and Sannox are small villages, nestling under the mountains, within a mile of each other on the east coast of Arran. Corrie lies six miles north of Brodick where the ferry from Ardrossan docks.
Getting here: There are two ferries to Arran. 1) You can take the ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick, which takes 55 minutes. Vehicle reservations are recommended. 2) You can take the ferry from Claonaig in Kintyre to Lochranza, at the north end of Arran, which takes 30 minutes. No advance booking is necessary on this sailing. Simply turn up at the port of departure, go on the next available sailing, and buy a ticket on board.
Facilities: The hall has two showers, a large kitchen with a double sized cooker, a microwave, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery. There are no beds, so you will need to remember to take a camp bed/inflatable mattress, sleeping bag and pillow. There should be plenty space for everyone who wishes to attend.
Nearby Hills: There are four Corbetts on Arran: Goatfell, Beinn Tarsuinn, Cir Mhor and Caisteal Abhail. There is also one Graham: Beinn Bharrain. If Marilyns are your thing, there are also 7 Sub2000ft Marilyns on Arran and another on nearby Holy Isle. More info about Holy Isle should anyone wish to visit: click here for info about Holy Isle. There is also good scrambling and climbing to be had on Arran e.g. on the A’Chir ridge and Sou’wester Slabs.
Cost: TBC To book on this meet please contact Joe via email.
