Scottish Mountaineer – subscribe in Digital Format
- Many members now take Scottish Mountaineer in digital format. It’s convenient, easy-to-use, has live web links, and you can search with Adobe reader.
- Your members can subscribe to Digital Mountaineer – just email membership@mcofs.org.uk stating name and address. We will assume that the hard-copy version is no longer required unless stated otherwise.

Extra GPS Courses
- Due to very popular demand we will be running two more GPS training courses at Glenmore Lodge on October 17th and 18th. The two courses at the beginning of October sold out very quickly, so if you are interested please make your booking as quickly as possible. The cost of the day long courses is £25.

Equity – Please help MCofS
- A separate letter for the attention of, and action by, the Club Secretary concerning MCofS’s approach to the Equity Standard is attached. We hope that you will support MCofS in its drive to achieve the Equity Standard.
Seeking Images
- The MCofS is seeking good quality images of walking and climbing scenes for possible use in Scottish Mountaineer and the website. We are particularly looking for images with people in them.
- We are looking for digital scanned images (jpeg, bitmap, tiff) – >300dpi minimum or digital images (RAW or jpeg) – 2MB min
- If you have any images that you are willing to allow the MCofS to use then please contact mike@mcofs.org.uk. Published contributions to Scottish Mountaineer will be acknowledged in the magazine.
