What: Camping meet to Seana Bhraigh
When: Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September 2021
Where: Seana Bhraigh (from the Oykle Bridge)
Cost: £Nil

This will hopefully be Alistair Jeffs’ final munro and all Club Members are warmly invited to come along. Alistair’s plan is to drive in from the Oykel Bridge Hotel and to park at the Schoolhouse Bothy near the Daug Bridge (Grid Ref NH 340 975). The track is about 7km and unmetalled. The Estate confirmed that there is no problem with stalking, parking, access etc. From the Schoolhouse Bothy to Coiremor Bothy / loch side wild camp it is approx 9km along a track. Alistair plans to walk, though it is bike-able (especially on the way out which is mostly downhill). There are river crossings en-route which could be challenging after heavy rain.

The Coiremore Bothy is open but be aware of COVID precautions – advice and further information is on the MBA’s website. Ideally bring a tent and wild camp. There are multi-fuel stoves in the bothy so any fuel you can bring would be welcomed.

Timings for the approach on Saturday:
10:15 Depart Okyel Bridge Hotel by car
10:45 Depart Schoolhouse car park by foot
13:00 Arrive Coiremor bothy / wild camp (Grid Ref NH 305 888)
Set up camp and have some lunch
14:00 Depart for Seana Braigh. Seana Braigh walk via An Sgurr ridge grade 1 easy scramble, descent via broad NE ridge (distance 7km, ascent 650m, duration approx 4 hours)

Timings for “extraction” on Sunday: Depart when able.
