Andy Kirkpatrick is one of Britain’s most talented mountaineers. He is also very very funny, with a humour to match the best standup comedy acts. Andy is touring the country with this talk just now and we are very lucky to have secured an opportunity to see him in Elgin!

“When Hell Freezes Over” is a highly amusing account of his various expeditions to Patagonia, a treacherous mountain range at the southern most portion of South America, referred to amongst locals as “the eater of men”.  No trip to Patagonia is without incident, and Andy’s tales of being trapped on mile high summits in hurricane winds, buried by avalanches, or pushed close to hypothermia whilst lashed to the side of a mountain will have you on the edge of your seats. Using words, music and video, Andy will give us a taste of what it’s like to go on a major expedition.

Tickets: £5 at the door, or from committee members.
