‘Before the Midges’ – 16/03/2025

a Car-share meet in glorious Glen Affric. Planned route is a fine circuit taking in the two north-easterly munros of the Glen, Tom a Choinnich and Toll Creagach (approx. 6 – 8 hours). Starting point will be the Chisholm bridge car park just east of the main visitor viewpoint. And, by going in March we should be able to enjoy the beauty of this area without the hassle of midges!! Organiser is Sheena Forsyth.

The November Day Meet is a car-share event on Sunday 17th November, organised by Brent Craig. Open to suggestions for a group route or activity but as usual you are free to do your own thing. Hi Folks, Ceilidh and AGM Sat 25 Nov, Duffus Village Hall. It’s that time of year again to get on your Ceilidh garb and dancing shoes.  It was such a good night last year we are doing the same again.  Bring your own drinks and nibbles, stovie options provided, same great band to dance the night away. There will be a raffle for the Mountain Rescue so if you have anything to donate please bring it along on the night.  Additionally, if you want to donate anything for a sale table, spare kit, books etc. of an appropriate nature then we will put the proceeds to Mountain Rescue too. Night Navigation 28th October

Hi Folks, The days are getting shorter so time to start dusting off your warmer, winter kit, check your head torches and be prepared to navigate in poorer and darker conditions. There will be Club Night Navigation Training on Sat 28 Oct.  No previous experience necessary.  Free to members.  This is a light-hearted event where you can learn and practice skills.  Please car share where you can.
