5-6 September 2009 After a rather soggy 36 hours in Moray, sixteen lucky MMC members headed to the arid west coast of Scotland with ambitious plans for conquering the mighty peaks and ridges under clear blue skies. Hmm…it barely stopped raining all weekend! On Saturday, a group headed to the indoor climbing wall at Kinlochleven. Most of the rest stayed in the hut drinking “lemonade” or went for some retail therapy in Fort William. July 2009 Car Meet Report: Seana Bhraigh
Sunday, 19 July 2009 Due to the expected low turnout for this meet, private cars were used instead of the bus, and with a favourable forecast, 11 members and guests and 2 dogs set off to tackle Seana Bhraigh, which lies in isolated splendour in the midst of a watery wilderness. From the new car park at Inverlael, the group set off up through the forest and followed the well worn path, over some tricky river crossings to the rim of the impressive Cadha Dearg (Red Pass).
